With over 75 million streams globally, Kazhi is no stranger to crafting music that resonates. Now, she returns, together with multi Grammy-award winning producer Needlz (Bruno Mars, Drake, Cardi B, 50 Cent), with a release that feels both more direct and more confident, a natural evolution of her sound and identity.

Kazhi joined Mytalent yesterday

Adding to the momentum, Kazhi joined the platform MyTalent yesterday, a platform that connects industry professionals and like-minded creators — and already the next day she was discovered across Latin America and playlisted on 11 radio stations in Brazil, marking a rapid expansion of her global reach.

“My career is built on collaborations. Collaborations with DJs, producers, writers, A&Rs, and that’s how all my features came to life, obviously. We’re living in a digital age, and you can literally find people to work with everywhere, like on MyTalent. I encourage everyone on Mytalent to reach out to each other and start to collaborate’’ Kazhi.

A Track Built on Tension and Energy

“Physical” explores the tension between attraction and control — that moment where something shifts from innocent to intense.

With a catchy, modern production and a fearless attitude, the track is designed to hit both emotionally and physically — on the dancefloor and in your head.
“Physical is about that magnetic feeling you get around someone, and how it can be both exciting and chaotic at the same time,” says Kazhi.

Kazhi has built her career through strong toplines, sharp songwriting, and collaborations across the global electronic and pop scene.

She has worked with major international artists, including:

Sigma

Kazhi x MyTalent

As fans of her music, the MyTalent team was extremely happy when Kazhi joined the platform. We sat down with her to talk about the new single, her creative process, and what it really takes to succeed in today’s music industry.

About “Physical”

What was the key inspiration behind “Physical”?

Physical was created at 1 AM in Atlanta. I guess you could say it was inspired by days of writing, pouring my heart and soul out into a bunch of songs over the course of the previous week with my producer Needlz. I wanted to write something playful that night, just be in the moment and have fun with this one. When it comes to flirting, I've got one move, and one move only. I stare, haha. So that’s what inspired the topic of the song.

Creative Process
What makes a song “stick” in your opinion?
For me personally, the chords and the melody are what matter from the get-go. If the melody doesn’t hit, I’m probably not gonna pay too much attention to it. But no matter how much I appreciate a good melody, the lyrics or the emotion I’m picking up from the song is what actually makes it ‘’stick’’ for me.

How do you know when a track is finished?

This is gonna sound too easy, but I just know haha. If it feels right, it’s done. If it doesn’t sit just right, on the other hand, something needs fixing. It’s a gut feeling, honestly. A trained gut feeling, maybe.

75 Million Streams — What It Takes

You’ve reached over 75 million streams — what do you think has been the key to that success?
Writing, writing, writing. And building a network. For the past few years, I’ve been living in the middle of nowhere, so there’s no rule saying you gotta be in the middle of everything. But take good care of the connections you got, be a good human, keep creating with people you enjoy creating with, and just put yourself out there.

Advice to Upcoming Artists

What’s the biggest mistake you see new artists making today?
In all honesty, I’ve had most of my success as a songwriter and feature artist/vocalist, and it’s pretty recent that I claimed the artist title, so I’m still learning myself. If I were to say anything, I’d say the biggest mistake you can make in this industry as a whole is being afraid of putting yourself out there. First of all, life is too short; second of all, who cares? Just do it, what do you have to lose?

How important is collaboration in building a career?

So important. Important for several reasons. My career is built on collaborations. Collaborations with DJs, producers, writers, A&Rs, and that’s how all my features came to life, obviously. But maybe more importantly, you’re gonna need other people around you in this process. Working in the music industry can feel really lonely, and we’re all going through it, so having people to work with, brainstorm with, and lean on is really important. We’re all in this with the same goal, pretty much, so it’s nice to have other people to work towards that goal with.

I wanna add that if somebody reading this right now is thinking they’re screwed cause they don’t have people to work with, don’t, cause that’s gonna be your strength too, being independent has been very beneficial for me in the long run. Still, at some point, you’re gonna want somebody to be on this journey with, so reach out to people. We’re living in a digital age, and you can literally find people to work with everywhere, like on MyTalent.

How has the music industry changed since you started?

Social media. Period. Haha. The power of TikTok and other platforms right now is insane. Sure, it’s opened the door for a lot of people, that’s great, but the industry runs on a whole different engine now, and it’s a lot to navigate.

What matters most today — talent, branding, or consistency?

10% talent, the rest is branding and consistency, with heavy weight on consistency. If you quit, you lose, easy as that. If you stick with it, you’re in the game, and your chances are pretty much as good as anybody else’s. One thing is being consistent with creation and growth. But how the industry is set up right now, you showing up consistently is more important than ever.

If you were starting from scratch today, what would you focus on?

If I were starting from scratch today, I would stop thinking so much and just do. As a writer, I would reach out to other people, collaborate, and grow my network. As an artist,t I would release my own music and stop waiting for the perfect timing. And I think with AI being so present in the industry now, people need authenticity, so I would NOT focus on being perfect, but being real and human and everything that comes with.

Mytalent teams' final thoughts:

Kazhi represents a new generation of artists who understand both emotion and execution — combining creativity with a clear sense of direction. “Physical” isn’t just another release.
It’s a signal of where she’s heading next. And with tens of millions of streams already behind her, this next chapter might be her biggest yet.
